Stephen Gipstein, MD

Steve is a Senior Advisor at Aegis Ventures. He has devoted his career to connecting the dots across the healthcare value chain, and is especially passionate about bringing surprise and delight moments to healthcare with technology.

He currently serves on a number of boards (including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia) and as a Senior Advisor to the C-Suite of a number of leading healthcare organizations. Most recently he was the Global Head of Healthcare Markets at Apple. Prior to Apple, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company where he worked across life sciences and health systems.

Steve earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard, and his M.D. at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He trained in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
