Dacher Keltner is Chief Scientific Advisor at Hume AI.
A professor of psychology at UC Berkeley and founding director of the Greater Good Science Center. His research spans compassion, awe, power, and inequality, and has been foundational to Hume’s development of emotionally intelligent AI. He has authored over 230 scientific articles and several bestselling books, including AWE and The Power Paradox, and served as a scientific advisor for Pixar’s Inside Out.
Dacher earned his B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and Ph.D. from Stanford, with postdoctoral work under Paul Ekman at UCSF.
