Andrew Ettinger

Andrew Ettinger is the Chief Executive Officer of Hume AI, leading the company’s next phase of growth in voice and emotional intelligence research and commercial expansion. With more than 15 years of leadership in data, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure-scale technology, Andrew brings deep operational expertise and a track record of scaling teams and products that serve the world’s largest technology platforms and enterprise customers.

Prior to joining Hume AI, Andrew served as Chief Revenue Officer at Appen, where he led commercial operations supporting hyperscale AI labs and enterprises with proprietary datasets and evaluation software. His leadership has spanned mission-critical roles in data and AI infrastructure at organizations including Pivotal and Astronomer, where he helped build and scale teams responsible for over $2 billion in annual recurring revenue.

At Hume AI, Andrew is focused on accelerating research services, expanding strategic partnerships, and building the infrastructure that powers emotionally intelligent voice AI — enabling leading labs and enterprises to integrate advanced voice understanding into next-generation models. Hume has recently entered broader technology and licensing agreements in the broader AI ecosystem while continuing to operate independently under his leadership.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from The Ohio State University and remains active in advising early-stage technology ventures at the intersection of AI, data infrastructure, and human-centric machine learning.
