Bill Schoenfeld is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Aegis Ventures.He is the founder, largest shareholder, and CEO of APL Group, a global investment firm. Under his leadership, APL has become one of the leading real estate investors in the Asia Pacific region with significant operations in Europe and the United States as well.
More recently, Mr. Schoenfeld has steered APL into new and growing lines of business, including private equity, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure. The company has also expanded geographically, developing a fully integrated global team with the capacity to execute transactions in multiple geographies and asset classes. This eye towards expansion also led to the creation of Aegis Ventures, a New York-based venture studio focused on digital health and healthcare AI, which Mr. Schoenfeld co-founded with John Beadle in 2021.
One of the first foreign real estate investors in Japan after the financial bubble burst in the early 1990's, Mr. Schoenfeld's keen eye for real estate markets over the years has enabled APL to become a recognized leader in the industry. Before establishing APL, Mr. Schoenfeld oversaw the real estate operations for Bank of America in Asia.
Mr. Schoenfeld graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He continues to nurture a lifelong passion for learning, with a particular emphasis on languages.
